Cylindrical roller bearings offer, due to the linear contact between the bearing rings and the rollers a significant radial load capacity, and are capable of high speeds.
PFQ cylindrical roller bearings are available in various configurations and are designed to be demountable, facilitating the assembly process. Both bearings and rollers are capable of supporting significant radial loads and operating at high speeds. The rollers and their cage can be pivoted from either the inner or outer ring. Between the two bearing rings, the one guiding the rollers has ribs, while the other, having no ribs, is removable. The main feature that distinguishes the variants of cylindrical roller bearings is the design of the rims. The most common variants are described below.
NU SERIES
The outer ring has two integral rims, while the inner ring has no rims. The axial movement of the shaft relative to the housing occurs within the bearing in both directions.
N SERIES
The inner ring has two integral rims, while the outer ring has none. Again, the axial movement of the shaft with respect to the housing occurs within the bearing in both directions.
NJ SERIES
The outer ring has two integral rims, while the inner ring has only one rim. In this case, the shaft is axially constrained in only one direction.
NUP SERIES
The outer ring has two integral edges, while the inner ring has one integral and one non-integral edge. With this configuration, the shaft is axially constrained in both directions.
